*I struggled a bit with how to group these airplanes. How do you separate different jets like the 747, the F-14, the T-2, and the Citation? Many of you may be thinking “The T-2…tactical??!!”. The term “Fast Jet” is probably more standard but, many of the big jets I’ve flown (example: 747-8) flew WAY FASTER than many of the jets on the list above…so “Fast” didn’t seem right. Can’t do it by weight (the F-14 weighs a lot more than many business jets). So, I settled on “tactical” to describe small, fast, military-type jets, differentiating them from “Large Jets” and “Business Jets”.
