Recollections: The OH-6 (official model number MD369, marketed as the 500 and called by a variety of OEM names, “Hughes”, “McDonell Douglas”, “MD” and now “Boeing”?) is a little rocket-ship of a helo. Super sensitive on the controls, very maneuverable.  A handful for a fixed wing pilot!

A 1991 logbook entry, just as I was leaving my tour as the Safety Officer of USNTPS says “last flight at TPS”.  Little did I know that I’d be back again (as the Chief Flight Instructor) and again (as the XO/CO)!
